There’s something so satisfying about bodies in motion. Sports. Dance. And, of course, comedy. But all too often, today’s performers rely mostly on words. This intensive will focus on not only being more physical and free, but how to let your body lead you to unexpected discoveries and a greater connection to the audience.
Chad Damiani is a clown, improviser, dancer, screenwriter and former pro wrestling announcer. A longtime fixture in LA’s clown and idiot community, he’s one-half of the clown-improv duo Jetzo, as well as an ensemble member in the Murge (directed former Cirque Du Soleil star John Gilkey) and Dr. Brown Builds a Show at the Lyric Hyperion. Most recently, Chad co-wrote and performed in an upcoming clown project for FX, and worked as a comedy consultant for Spiegelworld’s space variety spectacle Opium, at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
