Keep Your Eyes Off The Road: An Improv Workshop (ONLINE)
Saturday, July 18th
12-2pm (pacific time)
KEEP YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD – What do I say or do next?
That’s a common question in improv, and often, we look at the road ahead to try and figure it out. But the road ahead isn’t written yet – so we end up inventing or focusing on plot. We don’t want to end up writing in our head and hoping our partners can read our minds!!! That takes the joy out of the collaboration and creation that makes improv so fulfilling! (not to mention, that it’s just hard!)
Instructor Bio: Rolland started as a student at The Westside Comedy Theater 13 years ago and eventually grew to performer and teacher. As “Agent Double Cross”, Rolland has been performing in the home theater cast of Mission: IMPROVable for 9 years and his improv duo, Rollin’ in Riches, has performed/taught in 13 states. Rolland is also a voice actor and you can hear him as the voice of Poncho in the animated version of the “Pooch Cafe” comic strip and the voice of Eliot in DOA: Dimensions on the Nintendo 3DS. His voice can also teach you about the world (along with Bindi Irwin) with the Educational Insights GeoSafari Jr. Talking Globe. He’s proud to be a member and teacher of The Westside Comedy Theater community!
