Improv Resident Team Audition Night!

Come be a part of the decision making process for our next round of Resident Teams! In the event of a tie, the decision will come down to an AUDIENCE VOTE!

LINEUP:

CHUGGA CHUGGA 

A roster of nine players, made up of actors, writers, directors, and comedians, whose roots span the entire country, from Los Angeles to Orlando. Our team became fast friends when we met participating in improv classes (in-person and zoom) during the pandemic. Our format takes a single word from the audience and then we launch ourselves into a “living room” style word association opening to a freeform montage.

Bernie Mac and Cheese

Bernie Mac and Cheese Improv Troupe was founded in 2019. They are made up of all walks of the improv spectrum: some trained at various levels of The Groundlings, Second City, Westside Comedy Training Center and others who have only done the improv jam circuit. More than half also perform standup comedy. 

Their diversity of cultures and training have led to much success in the LA Improv Community in a relatively short amount of time. They were a staple at The Pack Theater Deathmatch and were eventually named the winners of the Deathmatch Tournament of Champions. They have also hosted an event at The Comedy Central Stage, been granted residencies at The Pack Theater and The Clubhouse (both prior to pandemic). They were also selected as participants in The Westside Comedy Festival III. They also have performed in many indie shows by request including a reunion, some birthday parties and corporate events. 

Their style is very easy to follow for their audience… the get is one word, they do 3 completely different base scenes inspired by that word, followed by a group game or scene to capture a theme then a montage consisting of tags tag runs sweeps & callbacks.

Jolly Playtime

Jace Ceyanes and Molly Renze met doing improv on the Comedy Sportz College League in 2018. They entered a Duo improv competition with their show “Jolly Playtime ” and took 1st place, the youngest competitors amongst over 50 teams. We take pleasure in play and love to have fun with the audience and take them back to their playdates when they were younger. Jolly Playtime is imaginative, hilarious, and childishly adult.
