Intro to Stand Up

Intro to Stand Up at M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater focuses on identifying and developing each student's specific strengths in order to harness and embrace their own sense of humor. Students use their own life experiences and observations to write and workshop stand-up material each week. This 6-week course meets for 3 hours.

All of our courses are taught by veteran instructors who are also long-time performers. Classes meet at our theater OR at one of our nearby rental spaces just a short walk away. Each session concludes with a class show on our stage for your friends and family!

You can find us at the back of the Parking Garage #3 (Structure Three, whose entrance is on 4th Street just north of Santa Monica Blvd). We are the only awesome theater in the alley that has painted brick, and shouting coming from it.
