Level 1 IMPROV: Fundamentals
Level 1 IMPROV at M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater is a fun and exciting introduction to the art of improv comedy that covers core ideals, concepts, and vocabulary. Through six weeks of acting exercises and theatrical games in the style of Viola Spolin, our aim is not only to instill the fundamentals of improvisational technique but also to create an ensemble.
All of our courses are taught by veteran instructors who are also long-time performers. Classes meet at our theater OR at one of our nearby rental spaces just a short walk away. Each session concludes with a class show on our stage for your friends and family!

You can find us at the back of the Parking Garage #3 (Structure Three, whose entrance is on 4th Street just north of Santa Monica Blvd). We are the only awesome theater in the alley that has painted brick, and shouting coming from it.
